Program Overview

AFLH provides outpatient behavioral health treatment services to adults and adolescents through its certified behavioral health agency.


Outpatient services are delivered by appropriately licensed clinicians and are based on individualized clinical assessment, diagnosis (when applicable), and formal treatment planning.


Services are provided in accordance with Ohio Department of Behavioral Health regulations and applicable Ohio Administrative Code requirements.


Outpatient treatment is designed for individuals who do not require residential placement or inpatient hospitalization but benefit from structured therapeutic services.

Services Provided

Outpatient treatment services may include:
 

  • Individual psychotherapy

  • Group therapy

  • Diagnostic assessment

  • Treatment planning and review

  • Clinical progress documentation

  • Coordination with prescribing providers

  • Collaboration with external service providers
     

All services are delivered based on documented medical necessity and individualized treatment plans.

Clinical Staff

Outpatient services are provided by appropriately credentialed professionals, which may include:

  • Licensed Independent Social Workers (LISW-S)

  • Licensed Social Workers (LSW)

  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC)

  • Other qualified behavioral health professionals operating within scope of licensure
     

All clinical services are delivered within regulatory scope of practice.

Treatment Planning & Documentation

Each individual receiving outpatient services undergoes:

  • A formal clinical assessment

  • Development of an individualized treatment plan

  • Ongoing review and documentation of service engagement

  • Periodic reassessment as required by regulatory standards
     

Frequency and duration of services are determined by assessed need, treatment goals, and service authorization requirements.

Conditions Addressed

Outpatient services may be delivered:

 

  • In person

  • In a clinical office setting

  • Through approved telehealth platforms (when applicable and compliant with regulatory standards)
     

Telehealth services are provided in accordance with state and regulatory guidelines.

Coordination of Care

When appropriate, outpatient clinicians coordinate with:

 

  • Residential staff

  • Case managers

  • Prescribing providers

  • Managed care entities

  • Educational systems (for adolescents)
     

Coordination is conducted within confidentiality and consent guidelines.

Service Eligibility

Eligibility for outpatient treatment services is determined through formal clinical assessment and referral review.
Participation in services is subject to regulatory requirements, medical necessity criteria, and service authorization parameters.
