Getting Started with AFLH Services
Advocacy for Friendliness, Love & Hope (AFLH) accepts referrals for licensed residential care and certified behavioral health services for adults and adolescents across Ohio. All admissions are reviewed to ensure appropriateness of placement, program alignment, and compliance with Ohio Department of Behavioral Health requirements.
Who Can Make a Referral
AFLH accepts referrals from:

Courts and legal entities

Hospitals and healthcare providers

Community and behavioral health agencies

Case managers and care coordinators
Self-referrals are also accepted and reviewed.
Admission Pathways
To ensure clarity and appropriate placement, admissions are organized by service type.
Adult Residential Admissions — Class 2
Population Served

Adults age 18 and older​
Program Overview
AFLH operates licensed Class 2 Residential Care Facilities for adults who benefit from structured supervision, assistance with activities of daily living, and coordination with behavioral health and community supports.

Adolescent Residential Admissions — Class 1
Population Served

Adolescents ages 10–18
Program Overview
AFLH operates licensed Class 1 Residential Facilities providing a structured, supervised environment integrated with behavioral health services.

Referral from an appropriate source (family, school, court, agency, etc.)

AFLH operates a certified behavioral health agency offering services that may support residential clients or individuals in the community.

Intake Process
The AFLH intake process is designed to ensure appropriate placement, safety, and service alignment.
Step 1: Referral Submission
Complete the appropriate intake form or contact our Admissions team.
Step 2: Review & Screening
Our team reviews referral information to confirm program fit and eligibility.
Step 3: Coordination & Authorization
We coordinate with referral sources, families, and service partners as needed.
Step 4: Admission Decision
Once approved, admission timelines and next steps are communicated clearly.

AFLH is CARF Accredited and maintains compliance with applicable licensing and certification requirements.
